I discovered that doing ab workouts alone will not do a lot for you. Sure they are considered as some of the best ab exercises for men and sure they develop your abdominal muscles, but they do not really help in getting you a visible six pack. The best way to perform these workouts is if you join all of them into one routine and use them as a circuit training routine. This way you are losing fat and strengthening your ab muscles.
Before I forget, the reason I added exercises such as front squats and the next three is the fact that they not only target your abs, they exercise the other muscles necessary for a lean body. So when you do exercises that cause more muscles to work, additional energy will be required thus you are losing more calories.
Start off with one of the first four workouts on the list and perform a workout from the last three. Do these entire workouts one after the other without resting for one set. You should only rest a maximum of 2 minutes after each set. Perform three sets.
